Slow Cooked Country Ribs
If your budget is a little tight this month, our country ribs recipe is perfect for you. With a little time and love, you will create some delectable pork. This recipe can be made on a smoker or in the oven.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Country Style Ribs
- 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard
- Blackening Seasoning
- Kosher Salt
- Brown Sugar
- 1 cup Your favorite BBQ Sauce
- 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 can Beer
- 1/2 stick Butter cut into 1" squares
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 275 degrees
- Unpackage your Country Ribs and cover lightly with the yellow mustard to create a binding.
- Combine the blackening seasoning, salt, and brown sugar in a small bowl to create a dry rub. Rub the country ribs until all of the meat is covered in the dry rub
- Place the ribs on an oven rack over a deep aluminum pan, as grease will drip down to the pan and cook in the oven for 2.5 hours
- Mix the: BBQ sauce, ginger paste, and soy sauce.
- After 2.5 hours, take the ribs out of the oven. Drain the grease from the aluminum pan.
- Coat the country ribs in the sauce. Add enough beer to coat the bottom of the pan, but not enough to submerge any ribs. Top each rib with a square of butter.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil and cook for 1.5 hours.
- Raise the temperature to 300 degrees and uncover the pan. Cook for another 30-60 minutes, until the sauce has incorporated into the meat. If you have a meat thermometer, this cut of pork will best be finished between 195-203 degrees internal temperature.
- Remove and rest for five minutes. Serve when ready.
