Ingredients

  • 1 lb Country Style Ribs
  • 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard
  • Blackening Seasoning
  • Kosher Salt
  • Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Your favorite BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 can Beer
  • 1/2 stick Butter cut into 1" squares

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 275 degrees
  • Unpackage your Country Ribs and cover lightly with the yellow mustard to create a binding.
  • Combine the blackening seasoning, salt, and brown sugar in a small bowl to create a dry rub. Rub the country ribs until all of the meat is covered in the dry rub
  • Place the ribs on an oven rack over a deep aluminum pan, as grease will drip down to the pan and cook in the oven for 2.5 hours
  • Mix the: BBQ sauce, ginger paste, and soy sauce.
  • After 2.5 hours, take the ribs out of the oven. Drain the grease from the aluminum pan.
  • Coat the country ribs in the sauce. Add enough beer to coat the bottom of the pan, but not enough to submerge any ribs. Top each rib with a square of butter.
  • Cover the pan with aluminum foil and cook for 1.5 hours.
  • Raise the temperature to 300 degrees and uncover the pan. Cook for another 30-60 minutes, until the sauce has incorporated into the meat. If you have a meat thermometer, this cut of pork will best be finished between 195-203 degrees internal temperature.
  • Remove and rest for five minutes. Serve when ready.
